Lyman’s appointment as Head of Finance is effective today.
HOUSTON, Texas — Algotive today announced that William Lyman, a seasoned executive with an impeccable track record of taking startup firms to fast investment-led growth, has been named to the company’s executive team as Head of Finance. Lyman will play a key role in securing and managing the funds required to take the first autonomous artificial intelligence platforms worldwide. He reports to Pablo Castillon, Algotive’s chief executive officer.

Previously, Lyman was the CFO for a privately held, managed security services provider (MSSP), providing 24×7 cybersecurity threat monitoring and detection services. Lyman also served thirteen years as Partner and Principal of LMG Corp, representing entrepreneurs, executives, institutional investors, angel investors, and board members in entrepreneurial and growth company ventures through creative deal structuring and alignment of incentives. Lyman also served as General Partner, Principal and Kauffman Fellow at Alliance Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm where he managed $260+ million in assets across three funds. Investing in 42 companies nationally (tech and life science industries), Lyman led 75+% of deals and board seats, achieving seven exits by IPO and thirteen exits by acquisition.
Lyman is an Electronics Engineer from Marquette University, with an MBA from the University of Chicago, and is a Kauffman Fellow. He’s also a CFA Charterholder and a former US Marine, honorably discharged.
